Qualifying Times
When a swimmer swims a time under the time indicated below, they qualify to swim the next distance for that stroke.

| Backstroke | 40 seconds | 50 seconds | 1.50 minutes |
| Breaststroke | 40 seconds | 55 seconds | 2.00 minutes |
| Butterfly | 30 seconds | 45 seconds | 1.45 minutes |
| Freestyle | 30 seconds | 42 seconds | 1.40 minutes |
In the case of a swimmer choosing to swim a 25m event once they have fully qualified to swim that particular event they will NOT be eligible for points for that swim.
