Presidents Message

  Welcome to Thornlie Swimming Club.

Welcome to the 2010 / 11 Season of which we hope will be a fun and exciting year for all swimmers, parents and volunteers.

With a new committee and my first year as president, it will not be without its challenges, however we are determined to work hard to make Thornlie Swimming Club prosper and grow as a club.

The committee's first task is to bring new swimmers and members into the club. All new swimmers are welcome to come and have a two week free trial to help get their feet wet. All existing members are encouraged to tell their friends and get as many new faces down to the club as possible.

Thornlie Swimming Club is also going to be very active in Fund Raising this year. Not only to help finance the clubs current activities, but to allow the swimming club invest in our children and look at new ideas to keep our children active in and out of the pool. We will be actively engaging local business sponsorship and we will have a number of sponsorship packages available.

One of the challenges we are facing this year is the closure for 8-10 weeks of Gosnells Leisure World over the winter period due to renovations. Thornlie Swimming club will temporarily moving during this period to Riverton Leisure Plex.

The Committee meets on the 3rd Monday of the month from 7:00pm until 9:00pm and everyone is allowed to attend, new ideas are always welcome.
